Product Description

The FindTape SRT Window Screen Repair Tape is a self-adhesive fiberglass mesh tape that patches tears, holes, and punctures in window screens, screen doors, and porch enclosures. The reinforced backing blocks insects and lets air flow through, so a quick patch can replace a full rescreening job.

The high-tack acrylic adhesive bonds firmly to fiberglass or aluminum screen material and stands up to sun, rain, and humidity. Cut a piece slightly larger than the damaged area and press in place. No tools, staples, or screen splines required.

Use it indoors or outdoors on window screens, screen doors, tent mesh, RV screens, pool enclosures, and more. Available in 2 in. x 16.4 ft. and 4 in. x 16.4 ft. rolls in a neutral grey that blends with most screen mesh.

Application Instructions

• Inspect the damaged screen and remove any loose strands of mesh around the tear or hole. - Wipe the area around the damage with a dry or barely damp cloth to remove dust, pollen, and cobwebs. Let it dry fully. - Measure the tear or hole and add at least 1/2 inch of overlap on each side. - Cut a piece of tape to size using scissors or a utility knife. For round holes, round the corners of the patch to help it lie flat. - Peel the release liner from the back of the tape. - Center the patch over the damaged area and press it firmly onto the screen. Smooth from the center outward to remove air pockets and ensure the adhesive grips the mesh. - For larger tears, apply a second piece on the opposite side of the screen so adhesive bonds to adhesive through the hole for a stronger repair. - Allow 24 to 48 hours for the acrylic adhesive to reach full bond strength before exposing the patch to heavy weather.
